Project: Dense hydroxyapatite coatings on marble
Dr. Selvin Yeşilay Kaya received her MSc in Ceramic Engineering from Anadolu University, Turkey in 2006 where she worked on the production and the use of hydroxyapatite in Bone China. She received her PhD in the same department in 2011. Her thesis was on production of inorganic phosphorescent pigments and their usage in glass and glaze systems.
She is working in Anadolu University as an Assistant Professor. In addition to her work at the university, she holds the position of R&D Coordinator at Seramdent Dental Ceramics & Nanomaterials Ltd. Co. located in the Technology Research Park of Anadolu University. The company works on production and R&D in the field of ceramic support materials (zirconia, alumina, glass-infiltrated ceramics, etc.), ceramic implants and particularly dental porcelain powders.
