Quark Park: Table takes shape

Kate Graves has finished carving the elements of the table, and we began the installation this week at Quark Park. The legs of the table (all of which is made of Indiana Limestone) will stand in a bath of sodium sulfate solution. The plan is to apply a treatment of polyacrylic acid on one leg to protect it (see the Jan. 20 entry called Controlling Crystallization Pressure), while the other is allowed to deteriorate.
