Compressive Strength Testing

Compressive strength of concrete

Compressive strength is the most important property of concrete, and it is typically evaluated by axial compression of a cylinder with a 2/1 ratio of height/diameter. Here we see a film showing the violent failure of cement and concrete samples, followed by the relatively tough response of concrete containing nylon fibers. See also the test of samples with a very high fiber content.
