Tim Wangler (left above) and Zhenhua Sun (right) received doctoral degrees at the Commencement celebration at Princeton University on June 1, 2010. Tim’s thesis was entitled, “Conservation of Clay-Bearing Stones: Understanding the Swelling and Damage Mechanisms”. He is now a post-doctoral researcher at EMPA in Zurich. Zhenhua’s thesis was entitled, “Mechanism of Frost Damage to Concrete”. He is now a post-doctoral researcher at Princeton, working with Prof. Jean-Hervé Prévost.
