George Scherer was the Onsager Visiting Professor at the Norwegian Technical University in Trondheim, Norway in 2011. On January 19, 2012, he gave the Onsager Lecture on the subject, “Protecting Culture from Nature: Materials Science Issues in the Conservation of Art”. A link to a video of the lecture is:
