I am a senior in the Program in Civil Engineering and Architecture. I am most interested in the preservation of historic buildings and monuments. For my senior thesis I will be looking at the deterioration of brownstone. I will be trying to strengthen the link between laboratory experiments and field observations because it is important to establish the significance of this damage mechanism among the preservation community.
